Noah (Nooh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
We sent Noah to his people, saying, 'Warn thy people, ere there come on them a painful chastisement.' 1 Noah said: “My people, I have certainly been sent as a clear warner to you, 2 Worship Allah, fear Him, and obey me. 3 Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " 4 He said; 'My Lord, I have called my people by night and by day, 5 “So for them, my calling them increased their fleeing away.” 6 And every time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears and wrapped up their faces with their garments and obstinately clung to their attitude, and waxed very proud. 7 “I then called them openly.” 8 then indeed I spoke publicly unto them, and I spoke unto them secretly, 9 And I told them: 'Ask your Lord to forgive you. He is verily forgiving. 10 ‘He will send down abundant rain for you from the sky.’ 11 And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers. 12 What aileth you that ye expect not in Allah majesty! 13 And indeed He has created you through various grades: 14 Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers 15 ‘And in them, has illuminated the moon, and made the sun a lamp?’ 16 "'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually), 17 Afterwards He will return you into it (the earth), and bring you forth (again on the Day of Resurrection)? 18 ‘And it is Allah Who made the earth a bed for you.’ 19 so that you might walk thereon on spacious paths.'" 20
