The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
