Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
