(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
