He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 To him you give attention. 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And hath fear, 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 and angelic scribes. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And thick gardens, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 and his consort and his children; 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Dust shall cover them 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
