Have you not seen how those who dispute the revelations of God, turn away from Truth to falsehood? 69 Those who gave the lie to this Book and all the Books which We had sent with Our Messengers shall soon come to know the Truth 70 when they shall have to carry the shackles and chains [of their own making] around their necks, 71 In boiling water; they will then be ignited* in the fire. (Like fuel – see verse 2:24) 72 They will then be asked: "Where are they you took as partners 73 Beside Allah? They will say: they have failed us; aye! we have not been calling upon aught afore. Thus doth Allah lead the infidels astray. 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 Enter ye the gates of hell, to dwell therein. Evil is the habitation of the scornful. 76 So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us. 77 Assuredly We have sent apostles before thee, of them are these whose story We have recounted unto thee and these whose story We have not recounted unto thee. And it was not possible for any apostle that he should bring a sign save by Allah's leave. So when the commade of Allah cometh, judgment will be given with truth, and then will lose the followers of falsehood. 78
