Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? 67 By your Lord, We shall gather them and the devils together, then bring them crawling on their knees around Hell. 68 Then We shall carry off from every group those who were most stubborn in their opposition to the Gracious One, 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 There is not one of you who shall not go down to it: such is a thing decreed, determined by your Lord. 71 Then, We will save those who were cautious of Us, but the harmdoers shall be left there hobbling on their knees. 72 AS IT IS, whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say unto those who have attained to faith: "Which of the two kinds of man is in a stronger position and superior as a community?" 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? 74 Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters. 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 Has he, perchance, attained to a realm which is beyond the reach of a created being's perception? or has he concluded a covenant with the Most Gracious? 78 Indeed not. We shall record what he says and shall prolong the punishment for him. 79 To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. 80 And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
