Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
