1/2 Hizb 45

۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 74
