Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the morning brightness, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
