And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They answered: "There are some idols that we worship and are devoted to them with constancy." 71 Said he: "Do [you really think that] they hear you when you invoke them, 72 “Or do they benefit you or harm you?” 73 They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so." 74 He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping, 75 You and your fathers? 76 Surely they are enemies to me, but not (so) the Lord of the worlds; 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 And He Who gives me to eat and gives me to drink: 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me. 80 "Who will cause me to die, and then to life (again); 81 It is He whom I expect to forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment. 82 O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous, 83 "Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations); 84 and place me among those who shall inherit the garden of bliss! 85 "Forgive my father, for that he is among those astray; 86 And humiliate me not on the Day whereon people shall be raised. 87 The day on which property will not avail, nor sons 88 "But only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah a sound heart; 89 and Paradise shall be brought forward to the cautious. 90 And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. 91 And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship 92 “Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?” 93 Then they shall be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 And the whole hosts of Iblis (Satan) together. 95 They will say while they dispute therein, 96 "By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error 97 when we assigned to you a position equal to that of the Lord of the Universe. 98 It was but the guilty who misled us. 99 So now we have no intercessors 100 "'Nor a single friend to feel (for us). 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 There is certainly a sign in that, but most of them would not believe: 103 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
