Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
