The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
