Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 The rising dawn, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
