Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
