We sent Noah to his people, and he lived with them a thousand years minus fifty. Then they were caught by the deluge for they were evil. 14 But We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark and made the event a sign for mankind. 15 And (remember) Ibrahim when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him; that is better for you, if you knew!” 16 Ye serve instead of Allah only idols, and ye only invent a lie. Lo! those whom ye serve instead of Allah own no provision for you. So seek your provision from Allah, and serve Him, and give thanks unto Him, (for) unto Him ye will be brought back. 17 If you reject the truth, other communities before you also rejected the truth. The messenger's responsibility is only to convey the message clearly." 18 Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy. 19 Say: "Travel on the earth and see how He originated creation. Then (you will know) how God will raise the last raising (of the dead). Surely God has power over everything, 20 He causes to suffer whomever He wills, and bestows His mercy on whomever He wills; and unto Him you shall be made to return: 21 You are not able to frustrate Him either in the earth or in heaven; and you have not, apart from God, either protector or helper. 22
