And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
