The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Was there not a period of time when man was nothing worth mentioning? 1 Verily, it is We who have created man out of a drop of sperm intermingled, so that We might try him [in his later life]: and therefore We made him a being endowed with hearing and sight. 2 We showed him the right path whether he would be grateful or ungrateful. 3 Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains, fetters, and a Blaze. 4 Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor 5 A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly. 6 The servants of God fulfill their vows and are afraid of the day in which there will be widespread terror. 7 And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, 8 "We only feed you for the sake of God and we do not want any reward or thanks from you. 9 behold, we stand in awe of our Sustainer's judgment on a distressful, fateful Day!" 10 So Allah saved them from the evil of that day, and gave them freshness and joy. 11 and will reward them for all their patience in adversity with a garden [of bliss] and with [garments of] silk. 12 In that [garden] they will on couches recline, and will know therein neither [burning] sun nor cold severe, 13 The shadows will bend over them, and low will hang the clusters of grapes. 14 And they will be waited upon with vessels of silver and goblets that will [seem to] be crystal 15 Godblets of silver, they shall have filled them to exact measure. 16 And they will be given to drink there a cup (of wine) mixed with Zanjabil (ginger, etc.), 17 A spring there, called Salsabil. 18 ۞ They will be attended by youths who will not age -- when you see them you will think them to be like sprinkled pearls -- 19 When thou seest, thou wilt see there bliss and high estate. 20 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and of brocades. And adorned they shall be with bracelets of silver: and their Lord shall give them drink a beverage pure. 21 "Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised." 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
