Say thou: who guardeth you by night and by day from the Compassionate? Yet from the remembrance of their Lord they avert themselves! 42 Or have they gods that can guard them from Us? They have no power to aid themselves, nor can they be defended from Us. 43 Nay, but Ourselves gave these and their fathers enjoyment of days, until their life had lasted long while upon them. What, do they not see how We come to the land, diminishing it in its extremities? Or are they the victors? 44 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) “I warn you only with the divine revelation; and the deaf do not hear the call when warned.” 45 If a blast of the torment of your Lord strikes them, they will say, "Woe to us! We have been unjust people." 46 And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant. 47 In the past We granted to Moses and Aaron the criterion (for judgment), and a Light and a Message for those who would do right,- 48 for those who fear their Lord without seeing Him and dread the Hour (of Reckoning). 49 This is a blessed reminder that We have revealed to you. Will you then reject it? 50
