Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
