The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 has created man, 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
