The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night swarming, 17 and brightening morning, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 So where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
