Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
