O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient. 153 And say not of those slain in God's way, 'They are dead'; rather they are living, but you are not aware. 154 And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, 155 who, when they are visited by an affliction, say, 'Surely we belong to God, and to Him we return'; 156 are the ones who will have blessings and mercy from their Lord: it is they who are on the right path! 157 ۞ Surely the Safa and the Marwa are among the signs appointed by Allah; so whoever makes a pilgrimage to the House or pays a visit (to it), there is no blame on him if he goes round them both; and whoever does good spontaneously, then surely Allah is Grateful, Knowing. 158 Indeed Allah curses, and the cursers, too, curse those who conceal the clear teachings and guidance We have sent down, after We have made these plain in the Book for the guidance of all mankind. 159 But those who repent and reform and proclaim (the truth), are forgiven, for I am forgiving and merciful. 160 Behold, as for those who are bent on denying the truth and die as deniers of the truth - their due is rejection by God, and by the angels, and by all [righteous] men. 161 Under it they shall remain forever; their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be granted respite. 162 And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. 163
