Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! 3 Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer. 4 So destroyed were the Thamud by a storm of thunder and lightning; 5 And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 The Pharaoh, those who lived before him and the people of the Subverted Cities all persisted in doing evil. 9 When they disobeyed the apostle of their Lord He seized them with an overwhelming punishment. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass; 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, 16 and will turn frail, losing all force. The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures. 17 On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 Verily I was sure that I should be a meeter of my reckoning. 20 So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. 21 In a lofty Garden – 22 The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. 23 Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 and neither known this my account! 26 Would that death had taken us away for good. 27 My wealth has not availed me. 28 Vanished has my power from me." 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 Then cast him to be burnt in Hell; 31 “Then bind him inside a chain which is seventy arm-lengths.” 32 He did not believe in God the supreme, 33 Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 so today he has no friend here, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 which only the sinners eat". 37
