Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
