The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 abasing, exalting, 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 and amid the extended shade 30 and outpoured waters, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And exalted thrones. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And made them virginal, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
