SAY: "O my Sustainer! If it be Thy will to let me witness [the fulfillment of] whatever they [who blaspheme against Thee] have been promised [to suffer] 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, “O my Lord, send me back!” (The disbelievers) 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
