Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
