And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 The Lord knows full well what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose: 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 It is a guidance and grace for those who believe. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
