Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
