The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
