Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
