Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Reality! 1 What is the Inevitable? 2 What do you comprehend by the concrete reality? 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Aad belied the Striking Day. 4 The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound. 5 And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent; 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Then seest thou any of them left surviving? 8 The Pharaoh, those who lived before him and the people of the Subverted Cities all persisted in doing evil. 9 and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip. 10 And when the waters rose (high) We carried you in the sailing (Ark), 11 That We might make it unto you an admonition, and that it might be retained by the retaining ears. 12 Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one), 13 And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- 14 on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; 15 And the heaven will split asunder so on that day it will be unstable. 16 The angels will appear by its sides and, on that Day, eight [angels] will bear your Lord's throne above them. 17 On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 On that Day, he whose Record is given to him in his right hand will say: “Lo! Read my Record! 19 "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!" 20 So he shall be in a life of pleasure, 21 in a high Garden, 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did beforehand in the days gone by. 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 Would it had been the end! 27 My wealth has availed me nothing: 28 and my authority has vanished.” 29 Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him, 30 Roast him in Hell, 31 “Then bind him inside a chain which is seventy arm-lengths.” 32 “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” 33 "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent! 34 So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend 35 "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds, 36 "Which none do eat but those in sin." 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
