And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
