WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Does he not remember that We created him when he did not exist? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence. 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. 71 Then We shall deliver those who have feared, and shall have the wrong-doers therein kneeling. 72 When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?" 73 How many generations that had far more wealth and ostentation have We laid low before them! 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the All-merciful prolong his term for him! Till, when they see that they were threatened, whether the chastisement, or the Hour, then they shall surely know who is worse in place, and who is weaker in hosts.' 75 Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort. 76 Have you seen he who disbelieves Our verses and yet says: 'I shall surely be given wealth and children' 77 Has he seen the Hidden, or has he made a pact with the Most Gracious? 78 By no means! We shall write down all what he says; and We shall greatly prolong his chastisement, 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he will come unto Us, alone (without his wealth and children). 80 They have taken other deities besides God, so that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
