THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
