We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
