The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
