If We extend anyone's life, We reverse his development. Can they not use their reason? 68 AND [thus it is:] We have not imparted to this [Prophet the gift of] poetry, nor would [poetry] have suited this [message]: it is but a reminder and a [divine] discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth, 69 that he may warn him who is alive and establish an argument against those that deny the Truth. 70 Do they not see that, among the things which Our hands have fashioned, We have created for them cattle of which they are the masters, 71 We have made the cattle subservient to them so they ride and consume them. 72 And they derive other advantages and drinks from them. Even then they do not offer thanks, 73 They have set up other gods besides God, hoping to be helped by them, 74 They cannot help them, though they be hosts made ready for them. 75 So be not grieved by what they say. We certainly know what they hide and disclose. 76 IS MAN, then, not aware that it is We who create him out of a [mere] drop of sperm - whereupon, lo! he shows himself endowed with the power to think and to argue? 77 And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?" 78 Say: "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life [once again,] seeing that He has full knowledge of every act of creation: 79 He who produces fire for you from green trees and from this you kindle fire." 80 Is not He, who created the heavens and earth, able to create the like of them? Yes indeed; He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 81 Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" and it is! 82 Limitless, then, in His glory is He in whose hand rests the mighty dominion over all things; and unto Him you all will be brought back! 83
