3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
