The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
