Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
