In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
