It is He who gave you ears, eyes and hearts, yet how seldom you are grateful! 78 And He it is Who hath sown you broadcast in the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!" 83 Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!" 84 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: will ye not then heed? 85 Ask them: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “So why do you not fear?” 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say, "All this belongs to God." Say to them, "How are you then deluded?" 89 No, We have brought the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 Knower of the Invisible and the Visible! and Exalted be He over all that they ascribe as partners (unto Him)! 92
