Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and we glorify God". 166 What, would they then say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
