۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 They are always harassing us. 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught. 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
