It was not in falsehood that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. That is the thought of the unbelievers. But woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire! 27 Shall We make those who believe and do good deeds equal to those who spread turmoil in the earth? Or shall We equate the pious with the disobedient? 28 (This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect. 29 We gave Solomon to David; and he was an excellent worshiper, he was penitent. 30 When the noble galloping horses were displayed to him one evening, 31 He said: "The love of horses is worthy of desire to me for the remembrance of my Lord;" and when they were out of sight, (he said): 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, so that it blew gently, at his behest, wherever he willed, 36 and We also subjected the devils to him -- all kinds of builders and divers; 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 This is Our gift, so bestow thou or withhold, without rendering an account. 39 And verily, he enjoyed a near access to Us, and a good final return (Paradise). 40
