The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
