The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
